Anyone else have this problem? When I take corners in my car and I get pushed to the right or left, the seat creaks pretty damn loud. If I wiggle in my seat left and right it creaks also. This can't be normal. It almost scares me that my seat is loose.

My seat has a bit of front/rear play. It isn't loose, it just feels like I can rock it forward and back a few degrees with my body weight.
My 1992 Maxima SE seat was really strong and felt more well built after 8 years than this seat does after a few months.
I sure hope Acura built solid seats *and* we are not seeing the result of economizing. I also think that they should improve Acura Care for issues like this. They seem to just have people reading out of user guides for people who never read. Sorry, just my own experience.
I love the car, but I think the Legend was a better built car (at least judging by the older 1989 I've ridden in)!

Hey Guy,
There are only four bolts holding your seats in. By sliding your seat all the way forward or back you can check all four bolts with a socket wrench.

COME TO THINK OF IT, my 93 legend never once made a creak of groan in the 47000 miles i put on it. this car creaked from the rear the day i drove it out of the showroom. all in all it is a great car, but is no way as refined as my legend was.

ACME sucks!
I have a creaking noise too, but it comes from the center console. I thought it was from the driver's seat, but did some testing and it's definitely the console. I took it to the dealer and, of course, they didn't hear it. This could be true, because when the car warms up inside, the creaking seems to quit.
As for the passenger seat making a racket on bumps and stuff, mine does sometimes. I tilted the seat back a little and I don't hear it as often anymore.

I've had this problem on my TL. To fix it all you need to do is take off the map pocket on the back of the seat, and spray some wd-40 in the joint between the seat back and cushion. Also, this may sound odd, but if you cycle the lumbar support back and forth with no weight on the seat a few times, the creak will go away. Good luck...

Took it to the dealer today. They took the seat out, tightened all bolts, put it back, no more creaking. They also lubed the hell out of the car. All rubber joints, etc, like the door edges and stuff. The guy was like "90% of all problems on this car are improper lubrication". Rattles in the dash are caused by airmix arms being improperly lubricated and so forth. Also, the infamous passenger seat rattle is caused by the plastic side seat cover rubbing against the leather seat. Some dry-lube solved that. Anyway, I guess Acura cut the budget for "lube" on our cars when they made them. That sucks. Anyway, just wanted to report in and say stock up on the KY-jelly, our car definitely needs it.

Finally...something on which I can comment intelligently!
If you're the kind of body type that fills up the seat and spreads the bolsters a bit, check to see if the lumbar handle on the right side of the driver's seat back isn't rubbing on the center armrest. That's what's happening to me. Quick solution is to slide the armrest all the way forward; final solution would be to rotate the lumbar handle 180 degrees on the shaft. I Haven't been able to talk the dealer into doing it for me, and I haven't really looked at it to see how it could be done.
Does that address your noise at all?
