Its $25.89 on Ebay and on Acura parts website it is $195.18.

There are many of these on Ebay stating they are OEM for approximately $25.00. Too good to be true?

On RockAuto there is a Dorman EVAP purge control valve on closeout clearance for $36.79 but as I have read on many websites there are mostly bad reviews about this.

I have a P0497 code and I think I need replace my EVAP purge control valve (I also keep getting tighten gas cap message). Any good aftermarket parts or I have to shell out ~$200 and get the OEM part from Acura dealer?

for 2004-2008 Acura Tl the part # is 36162-RDV-J01 and costs: $195.18

Honda Parts website states this fits on several Honda vehicles and the part # is 36162-RJA-A01 and costs: $74.29. Would this work in my 2005 TL?

Also any success in cleaning this part to make it work properly or it needs to be replaced?

 

If you compare the picture from the Ebay seller to this Acura parts website it looks the Ebay seller is using the Acura parts website picture.

This is definitely a counterfeit: Looks like the sticker was printed at home from the seller's computer.

The reviews say its an original OEM. and works good. Who writes these reviews the seller's friends?

 

I've researched from multiple sources and come to a conclusion that the Honda OEM part listed above is the same exact part as the Acura OEM part for less than half the price, so I'll be getting that.

 

Looking forward to your update, there are a lot of counterfeiters that end up selling this junk like the "Honda genuine spark plugs" that never existed and get fake reviews made up to better sell the items... Hope the ody part works perfectly for your car!

 

The Ebay seller refused to cancel the item and printed a shipping label. I requested to cancel right away after I figured it was counterfeit and he still printed a shipping label and refused to cancel it. What a scammer.

 

They stopped the package 📦 and cancelled the order.
