Well it has to be going somewhere. Either burnt off or you've got a leak...

I have a similar situation. It was my radiator. Replace it problem solved. It was a very slight leak from my radiator seam.

your OP says you just changed the cap but not the radiator itself?

Did the black tube that goes to the bottom of the overfill reservoir fall off? There's one tube coming of the radiator and then anther one under the cap of the over flow elbow. Not our radiator but it's the tube that extends into the reservoir. If you don't have this the radiator can only expel fluid into the overfill.

No, there should be a similar length hose that goes from the cap to the coolant in the overfill tank, Item 4 in the link (below) to Delray Acura OEM parts. You are talking about Item 3.

RADIATOR HOSE - RESERVE TANK for 2004 Acura TL

I had the same issue, my radiator just arrived today. For months I would loose like haft a gallon every other week, couldnt find the leak anywhere. I ended up get a a Cooling System Pressure Tester for Harbor Freight, found the leak it in ten minutes.
