My 04 TL automatic has been having a rougher and rougher start in the mornings.

Once the car is warmed up - the problem isn't there. And I know that the ULEV TL's have a rough time in the morning.

I guess the question is just should the start be getting rougher - specifically over the past few weeks, as the weather has gotten warmer.

Anything I can check for to see if there is something else at play.

it most likly needs a pcm update. also the front and rear mount run on vacuum. when they bust the idle get rough. also a good injector clean and pcv valve have been known to fix the problem.

 

how many miles are on the car? have you ever cleaned the injectors and fuel system?

 

I have the same problem with my 06'. It has 27K miles and I purchased it from an Acura dealer a few months ago as a certified car. I have run three bottles of injector cleaner through the system and I use the correct fuel. I don't know how it was treated by the previous owner though.

What is a pcm update?

Are you saying bad engine mounts could cause this? If so, why would it only happen on the first start of the day?

 

the car is 63K miles on it now. I bought it 6 months ago with 51K. I'll try the fuel cleaners. Maybe it helps.
