Question clearance resolved, new problem

ok clearance fixed with spacer. Now when i brake and the car comes to a complete stop, it makes a squelching noise and it feels like something is loose, I know damn well everything is tight. It does not make any noises while braking, just when it comes to a complete stop. the sound seems like it is coming from the rear. Just in case you were wondering, i have EBC Ultrasport rotors and EBC Redstuff pads. I have an '04 A/T.

ok, update, o just took the car on a 30 mile test drive, brakes do very well, seem a lot better than stock. During the drive, i had to brake numerous times, after the first few stops the sound and the loose feeling stopped. i guess it had to wear in a little.

After installing the new pads, did you break them in properly? Perhaps they were just not broken in.

What kind of spacers did you end up using?

i ended up using a 5/16" spacer almost 8mm. It pushed the tire out, but not too bad. I am not sweating it. At least with the help of fellow a-ziners we were able to figure everything out. The brakes i guess needed a little wear, so the loud squelching is gone and i get a little squeaking. I know that will leave after a little bit of driving. and again, thanks to everyone who mad suggestions on what to try. I am very appreciative. Without everyones help, my car would probably still be sitting in the gaage on jack stands.

^Did you bed the pads to the rotors? This is a must do procedure.

You said 8mm spacers? Are they hubcentric? What brand? Did you swap the studs for extended ones?

I know a 5mm spacer works fine with the stock studs. A 10mm spacer needs new extended studs. Im not sure about an 8mm spacer. How many times can you turn the lug nut until it becomes tight against the wheel?

I believe you need atleast 7 full turns of the lug nut in order for it to be considered safe to drive

i cant remember exactly, but i know it was more than 5 turns on the lug nuts. I couldnt find any spacers that were hubcentric, i ensured and still ensure that the spacers are not moved from where i positioned them. Luckily they are not moving.

btw. the new brake system is great. Unfortunately i had to use them in an emergency (damn semi). they actually feel like they stop me better than stock. I have to admit, the EBC ultimax USR sport rotors and the redstuff low dust ceramic pads, along with Techna-fit SS brake lines make the brake system feel better than ever before. i am glad i put out the 500 for everything. Acura wanted to charge me 550 just for new pads and turning the rotors. I think i was better off with the EBC.
