Transmission Shutters!!!

...04 Tl auto. Not a crazy shutter but it happens. Seems like it doesn't change gears as smoothly as it should. 73,000 miles on it. I just bought it in June. Took it to the dealer and they re-produced the shutter and said I had too aggressive of a tire on the car. I am going to take it in again and document each time I tryed to get it looked at just in case it craps out! anyone else have this issue?

"Too aggressive of a tire"?!?!

Have them do the 3x ATF drain/fill. If that doesn't work, also have them change out the tranny pressure switches.

You can always call ACS/BBB if they're not cooperative, but do not let them give you the run around.

Do a search. There's a ton of info on the issue you're having. There's a thread like this every week.

Do a fluid change with Redline racing and replace the 3rd and 4th gear pressure switches. Problem solved if you don't wait too long. If you wait too long you will need a new transmission.

Make sure to tell the dealer how full of BS they are once you fix the problem.
