My battery and alternator died recently and while I was waiting for the alternator, I decided to replace the purge valve (PURGE CONTROL VALVE | Genuine Acura | 36162-RDV-J01) since the check gas cap light would come on occasionally. After installing the battery and running the car, everything seemed fine.

Next day when I drove to work, the check engine came on. I went to the store and they told me the code and it's for the Purge control vale, which I just replaced.

What could be wrong?
