so i slapped some wheels on the whip yesterday....pulled out the rim shop and 10 min later my check engine light went on....this happen to anyone else i just got a complete tuneup and i was told nothing was wrong at all with the car...any ideas or experience

 

did you check what code it threw>?

 

my boy hooked up to the obd at his job and it said it was the cat

po171 or po174... are errors in the ecu...

I was about to say it was the tpms but must be the ecu... ps. stay away from cheap gas

i just got the car 3 weeks ago...last week i threw some rims on thats it...it says its the cat bank1 and bank 2 but i called acura and its covered under 880 warranty so im takin it in tomm

 

Could it have been damaged on the lift by the rim place?

 

I doubt it... I think it just needs to be reset...

Took the car to acura...they kept it said it need a complete cat from front to back and the 02 sensors are done all covered under warranty..gave me a 08 tl loaner and the loaner sucks! I dont know if its because i used to my 6spd but the ride is horrible i cant wait to get my shit back only features i like on the loaner are the switch blade key (i want) and the nav system is sick...i love the fold down mirrors and the back up cam...i asked them if there was a way i can upgrade the radio to the nav and nigga told me it would come out to be like 12 grand to flip it from non nav to nav the same setup...are they crazy??? Its not that serious he said youll never find a 6spd wit navi its almost rare...i guess im gonna have to go after market

my bad wit the language...they def cashed in times is rough lol... im only the 2nd owner original owner was an old man no one ever say in the back....car only has 50k miles...i think like stated above it might have been damaged at the rim shop but i got it back today and its ridin niiiiccceeee i dont know if its cuz i love my 6spd but i feel the car has more kick...
