CEL: P0141 Oxygen Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 2)

I get this Check engine light a couple days ago and the code reads: -P0141 Oxygen Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 2)

I replaced the O2 sensor on the front bank downstream after the catalyic converter. I unplugged positive on the battery for a few seconds and the CEL came back on after just a few seconds after start up. Need help, any advice?

Bank one is the rear of the engine by the firewall. Is that the one you changed?

No, I changed the one closer to the front bumper. If bank one is rear of engine that would explain why the light keeps coming on. I had someone clear it with a OBDII scanner and it popped on within 15 seconds after restart of the engine.

Just want to give an update. I swapped the 02 out for the rear downstream. The CEL has been off for almost a week now. Thank you everyone for your help.

If it's any consolation, when the heater circuit on one fails, the other often isn't all that far behind.
