This is for people who have Anthracite color TL. I recently bought a 05 TL Anthracite Metallic and it seems like the roof and the trunk color is a bit different than the rest of the car. Roof is more prominent than the trunk. Is it like that on all or is it just mine? Thanks for the help.

 

Mine looks normal. Is it possible the previous owner(s) had some paint work done? Pics?

 

I dont know if you can tell in this pic or not but i will try to get a better pic after i go home from work.

 

Looks like the angle just reflecting the color of the sky to me. Anyways my roof is a different color but that is because I painted it black lol. But my trunk is the same color as the rest of my car.

As you can see the trunk looks like a different color but I think it is just the way the light is hitting it. Anthracite has a way of color changing, almost like a chameleon style paint depending on the angle and light reflecting off of it.

If you look closely at this one it actually looks like the left side of my car and the right sde of my car are different colors.

It is possible it was repainted, but I doubt someone would just repaint the roof and trunk. You can get one of those paint micron meters though and it will tell you for sure if it has been repainted.

Really hard to tell, sometimes it looks like they might be different but sometimes I think its just the angle or the way the light is reflecting. The only way to tell for sure is to get one of those paint micron meters that tells you the thickness of the paint. That would tell you for sure if its been repainted.
