CEL (Knock, Bank1)???

Hey folks!~
Recently I was driving on the highway home and it began to rain [and snow] really badly... In fear of sliding whilst braking I double clutched from 6th to 5th and let the vehicle coast to a reasonable "safe" speed.
About 10 minutes into driving in the rain/snow... A CEL shows up.
When I reached home, I tried to turn the TL off and turn her back on... But the CEL was still there.
A few days later [today] I had the CEL checked and the mech. told me it came up as "Knock Bank1".

Anyone have thoughts on how this could have happened and a way to fix it?

was able to get rid of the CEL while cleaning the battery terminals..
However it came back on once i hit 4th gear at 3k RPM. Everything was fine before hitting 4th at 3k rpm. I was able to reach 6th even, all with shifts between 2-3K RPM.
Anyone have inputs?

Would be weird for it to be 'bad gas' as I always have used the same gas stations...
And it's always 94 octane or 91 when I can't get 94.
