car wouldnt start, battery going dead or alternator?

i just came back from a 4 day vegas trip to find that my car wouldnt start , that should tell you how much luck i had.

good thing the parking services i used had a battery charger to jump my car. the guy connect the battery charger to my car and i was able to start it up fine, i shut off my car and try to restart and it made a "zapping" noise and my car wouldnt start, so i had the guy reconnected the battery charger and it starts up again. i drove the car 2 hours home, and the next day it would start up fine. drove the car out to advance auto parts to have the battery checked out -- the guy said if the car was driven for 2 hours that should have fully charged the battery and the tester shows the alternator is fine but the battery is low and needs to be charged.

so i guess i need a new battery, any specific battery brand you guys recommend?

thanks your help in advance.

IIRC, you can't go wrong with Everstart. But do a search, there are many good threads on batteries along with a post of Consumer Reports rankings.

any battery is going to be better than the crappy AC Delco ones that Acura uses. I went to sams club and just bought an energizer battery with a crazy warranty on it.
