Just got my car back from the shop I had the transmission rebuilt. My dad takes my car to the post office, comes back and parks the car. I get into the car go to the gym and the car won't start. No sound, nothing. The green key ligh does not flash and my lights and radio still turn on. HELP

 

have you tried removing the battery cable, take it off for a few minutes then, put it back and see if it starts... keep us posted

 

Check the connections at the starter.

 

i have a similar problem. Called AAA & he said here could be a black hole near the starter. Did you resolve the problem

 

I have the same issue. My mechanic, tested the battery and said that it was weak. If a new battery doesnt fix the issue, it could be the starter.

 

If you do undo your battery. Make sure you have your radio and navi codes first to be able to log into them.

 

Did you ever figure it out? If the key light doesn't show, it could something more simple like the immobilizer.

 

Same thing happen to me. Buddy went to gas station and back. An hour later I went to go start the car and there was only a click but then after like the 4 try starting the car there was no click at all. All the lights work, radio works, and light does not dim down when trying to start the car. Also my brother said it might be battery but I went out got a new battery but it was still the same. So it look like it's either the starter or the Electrical system. Anyone got any suggestion for a cheap way to fix this??

 

Also checked the fuse box. When i wigle the fuse box it'll make this noise like it's trying to start. Can't really discribe the sound but like something about to turn on. But that's it. Could it also be the fuse? I could not take out the fuse. I unscrewed it but it was still hard to take out and didnt want to break anything.

This just happened to me today. I filled up my tank and nothing. I hear one audible click which each key turn to start but nothing. radio and lights still work.

 

insert the keys in ignition & wiggle the keys few timesat the 3rd point of igniition and it should start. this is temporary though. I changed my battery & starter & its working fine now
