Car glides from side to side!! HELP!!
Hey guys,
I have a 04 acura tl AT and I'm noticing that in the rain the car just glides in all different directions even when my steering wheel is held straight. In dry conditions it does have the occasional glide as well. Just to clarify what i mean by glide is that the car would for example start shifting over into the other lane as if I was on ice. I'm lowered on coilovers and I have my 20inch rims on right now, but even with my stock wheels I experienced the same problem. I haven't done an alignment in a while, would this be the reason why? Also my rear wheels do need to be adjusted in toe as well, any suggestions??

dam lol "glide" im pretty sure ur aligment is outta wack. def. get an aligment. and do have a camber kit?? if so adjust that also. How long have u been driving like that. Does ur tires have any uneven wear. doesnt hurt to take a look.
hey thanks for the quick reply, no i don't have a camber kit yet, but my rear wheels do have a negative camber to them. Probably gonna get my alignment done first and hopefully gets things set straight.
It sure will as you're only riding on the inside of the tires, and if the toe is out, more handling problems in the wet.

I actually experienced this Sunday lol I'm lowered without an alignment and I had old tires on the wheels I just bought.. Needless to say, I bought new tires yesterday after experiencing all of that!
This happened to me in the middle of winter when I first got my TL-S in the snow and ice. Your rear tires are your stability...my alignment was all off and the center side of the rear tires was worn off to the threads. Every dealer I called said "all cars slide on ice & snow" but I knew something wasnt right. It was almost like I was slightly fishtailing in a rear wheel drive car. My guess is that, let us know what you find.
It's from your car being lowered without an alignment, most of the car's weight is on the inside of the tires although it may look like the entire tire is sitting flush on the ground.
