Car acting funny after starting
I went to start up my car this morning getting rdy to work(it was low 20s this morning btw), as soon as it starts up I notice there something not right with my car, the idle was rough. then I look down to see my check engine light was on. at this point Im freaking out so I turn my car off, I have no clue what would cause this problem on such a newer car. I plan on getting it towed to a dealer tomorrow morning. any help would help and maybe I can save some money, Im a college student and work full time so I really dont have the money to be fixing things on the car with x mas just around the corner. its a 05 TL if anyone would be willing to help me out.
I called at the end of the day and they said they dont know what is wrong dont know if they are pulling my chain or what but Im starting to get piss off and bout to sell the damn thing and get a differnt car. I just got this car 2 months ago
depending on what time the car arrived at the shop and when they got to it, maybe charged the battery before testing etc...then they can look for codes and see whats going on
It may need to sit outside overnight to recreate the same conditions too

It was at the dealership 9 in the morning. the car starts up still just has the rough idle with check engine light. would bad plugs do this? there so many damn sensor on these new cars one little thing can make the car act all wacked.
i know how u feel man its so annoying if this dealer cant find ne thing u might want to try another one

Im guessing 70k are on the plugs? no clue if they were ever changed. and nope I use the same gas everytime 93 octane shell. next closest acura dealer is like hour half drive from where I live so yea.
so I got a call from the dealership this morning, they found out what the issue is, there is a short somewhere in the wire hareness so they are having to tear the whole car apart to find where its at, this is gonna cost a pretty penny
. now least I can have some peace that I know what the issue is.

have you done any work on the stereo- anything with the wiring at all??
at 70 those plugs are original and losing performance-
if you have 50 dollars left when the dealer is done, buy a set of NGK Iridium and install them- thats the OE plug and best found so far, 7 bucks each at parts stores everywhere that sell NGK
Call acura and make a `file` so a case manager at corp is involved- if there is a TSB/ tech bulletin on the problem to help the local dealer, and maybe get you a discount/freebie on the cost if its an acura problem in assembly caused the short- even years later, thats a safety issue they have to address
1-800-382-2238 x5 need your VIN, the phone person only takes notes, and a real manager calls you back in a day or 2

Write a letter to corp and ask for a refund of $400
They should have been able to spot a bad ignition coil with a few easy test like hook it to the scope-
instead they went on a wild chase for a mystery wire that wasnt actually bad
Had they found a wire as stated- pay it and move on-
BUT when they try this game- its not a winner for them in court or in acura corps mind
Acura corp needs to hear good and bad experiences- dealers pay to use the acura name but are really a private business that acura can refuse to let use its name anymore~
