I am the current owner of a brand new 06 TL . I love the car, but noticed small thing about it. There is a constant small hissing sound coming from the speakers. This sound is as if i wasnt playing anything but the volume was set at max. Even with the volume all the way at zero i experience this sound. Is this normal? Thanks in advanced.

 

nope not normal, take it to your dealer. I've got an 06, it's so quiet that you can't hear anything.

my speakers do the same thing. hovever, it isnt very loud.

 

might be the HFL acting up?

 

HFL does have crappy components and make this noise. So if you activate HFL, you will hear it. Otherwise, it's not normal.

I think it's called SNR and happens with cheap stereos. - our stereo is fairly good, I almost can't hear white noise in audio mode but HFL does make white noise.

 

I have a 06 also and it does this also. My radio/cd is completely off and i can still hear noise from the speaker. it really doesnt bother me because I can only hear it when the car is off and when the car is in the garage. I can not hear it if the engine is on

 

I checked last night and this is not normal, at least for my car, if I put it on any input and turn the volume to 0 I hear absolutely nothing, and same if I turn the stereo off.

Get it checked out.
