Last night A/C was working properly when I parked the car. This morning no cold air at all. Checked a/c compressor clutch is working properly, can see it turn on/off with someone operating switch. Both fans are running when a/c is switched on. Both schrader valves have pressure on them, checked with small screw driver. I don't own a set of A/C gauges at this time. Low pressure side does not even start to get cold and High side does not start to get hot. Could I be missing a blown fuse or something stupid?

Update....Borrowed a buddies set of gauges and checked pressures. When I unscrewed the cover for the High Pressure side I heard a slight swish. Had 70 psi without engine running, engine running High side was only 110 psi and Low side went to 15" of vacuum. Not enough R134 charge. Picked up a new schrader valve kit from auto parts store and a can of R134. Changed valves and recharged...A/C is now working properly.

 

is it normal to recharge your a/c?
every car I've had I never had to recharge my a/c unless there was a leak someplace.
