Last week my A/C was working fine.. blowing cold air as usual. A few days ago I notice the air wasnt cold. I checked the pressure and I had 0psi (prior to this a month before, I had 35psi). Also notice the radiator fan stopped kicking in.

So, what could by my problem? I dont understand how I can go from 35psi to 0psi overnight. Could it be a leak? If so, how will I be able to find out?

 

The only way it will drop pressure is due to a leak. Pretty good sized leak if it went out overnight though. You'll need to have someone put some gas in the system and then they can check for the leak. I use an electronic unit, some use an ultra violet light, dye can be used as well as soapy water if you're doing it yourself.

 

ya and make sure you wear some gloves when you are putting the dye in. or else you'll have neon green fingers for a while. =)
