Buzzing sound when starting car

i checked the garage and didnt see anything that sounded like what i am hearing or i simply over looked it in the garage but on start up i am having a weird buzzing sound which sounds like it is coming from the gauge cluster or somewhere in that area. The sound only last for a second to half a second and thats it. I have noticed it seems to do it when the car is cold. I just drove to the store about a mile away and was inside for 5-10 minutes, started the car back up and it made the sound again. I tried to make a short video of it when i got back to the house a second ago but i guess between the 2 drives to the store and back it warmed up enough that it didnt make the sound.

Any idea?

Uh, I'd have to disagree. The ABS self-check is a "thunk", not a "buzz".....

mine does it also and has done it for the entire time ive owned the car. seems that if you turn the key slowly to start the car you will hear that noise. Its something with the ignition from what it seems to me.

Turn the key faster and it will probably go away. Mine does this if I turn the key too slowly. It sounds like a relay buzzing in the dash. If turning the key faster does not cure it you may look into it a little more since it's possible the relay could be on it's way out. It happens to me maybe once every 3-4 months.

Turning the key faster will make it better, but i still think there is some issue that needs to be resolved, whether it be a relay or something else, it's definately not normal.

Hmm, my 2 week old RDX/Tech buzzes occasionally, the dealer will be checking it out for me. They said it's nothing.
