Broken screw while replacing air filter

As I was tightening the screws on the air filter housing, one of them broke. Thought it was a bit odd as it didn't seem to be very tight when it broke. Anyways, I intend to get another screw and remove the broken piece, but I'm thinking the remaining three screws are enough to hold the housing in place. What do you all think?

The remaining screws should be sufficient

You are probably OK for now but I'd fix it soon so that next time if another breaks you won't be down to two...which will be a problem.

I had the same problem. Very little pressure caused it to break. It was ok with just the three screws. I still replaced it at the end of the month just for piece of mind...

youll be ok. but if it bothers u that much.. u have to drill out the screw if its stuck in the houseing. find a drill bit that exactly matches the screw. be careful not to match the drill bit to the teeth of the screw. only the main part. drill it out and use a tap and die set to make new threads. and youll be fine. i used to be a acura tech for 10 years

sounds good. I'm gonna take care of that sometime before my next air filter change. Thanks.

Guess I am not the only one. I was trying to take mine off to replace the filter and broke the screw. The head of the screw bolt snapped off. Any one sucessfully got the rest of the screw out with a drill? what size bit did you guys use?
