Broken Passenger Front Power Window

Broken Passenger Front Power Window
I drive a 2005 TL, bought it back in August. About a month after my passenger front window wouldn't roll up or down. I took it all apart, figured it was the window regulator, tore it out, and put in some wood to hold the window up until I got the replacement part.
Flash forward 6 months and I finally order the part. I get it all reassembled and window still doesn't go up or down. I tried replacing the fuse in case that was it, but it still did not work. What could be causing this?

I am. I went to a friend who does eletricele work and he said he would manually close the window by shorting the proper connection on the switch cable. He did, got a spark, and then almost nothing electrical works. No headlights, no brake, no blinker, no cluster lights or movement. I can't control any of the windows now, and my navigation has gone out, as well as radio and controls for my A/C.

.he does electrical work but then idiotically blew a fuse? Find another more knowledgeable friend.. also check your fuses.
If you're saying you're getting power but the regulator isn't work, chances are you got a bad regulator. have you tried plugging it in not connected to the window to see if it runs on its own?
