Brembo brakes uneven wearing

Does this look weird to any of you? The first picture is the drivers side and the second is the passenger side. It looks as if the top is wearing down much more than the bottom of the pad.

Anyone have any ideas as to what is going on? Is this normal for the Brembos for a 6MT?

That is normal. Look at the surface area of new brembo pads or replacement pads for the TL-S/TL W/MAN Trans notice the side of each pad how it curves down?

That looks different than mine from what I can tell. It looks like in that picture the edges at the top and bottom are tapered down.

On mine, it looks like the pad at the top of the caliper is worn thin whereas the pad at the bottom of the caliper much thicker. Looks sorta like this (slightly exagerated):

top of caliper
| \
bottom of caliper

hmm based on your initial picture its hard to see the top of the pad. But between the passenger side and the drivers side it looks like the passenger side is wearing a little faster.

I'll try to get better pictures tonight. Just wanted to get confirmation as to whether or not this is normal for TL's with Brembos. I'm going to replace the pads myself and probably get the rotors resurfaced at a shop, but if there's bigger issues then I will just take it to the dealer.

Is it possible that the bottom piston is stuck and not compressing the brake pad to the rotor, so only the top of the pad is wearing? How would I check this?

Brembo's updated pads have an asymmetrical "chamfer" to them making them directional. The leading edge has a shallow angle and the trailing edge has a steep angle. This was done to combat noise. Either way, as the pad wears down, the chamfer slowly disappears. Your pads look fine. The angled chamfers have never even touched the rotor.

From what i see you're saying your pad is wearing diagonally.. like at the "top" part of the pad it's worn further in than the "base". Mine from what I can remember were worn evenly...either way it looks like you're due for a pad change since the material on the top edge has gone below the wear indicator.

Also when you do your pads, your new ones might come with new pad springs. Hopefully that will help resolve your problem. If you do your pads yourself (easy job) make sure to brush out and clean the calipers before installing the new pads.
