Brake Warning Light after brake fluid flush

Hey guys!

So this weekend I did brake fluid flush on my car with Prestone DOT 4 brake fluid. I used a vacuum pump to help me flush the fluids. I pulled out the bleed screw and put teflon tape on the upper threads to help get a good seal for bleeding the brakes with the vacuum pump. So I pulled about 6-12oz from each wheel after putting the bleed screw back in. Bleed everything till I had a nice stream of fresh fluid. Master cylinder is filled to that plastic seam all around the housing (well above the "min" line).

So all appeared to work well. I did a few ABS stops to see if everything was working okay. Well when I slammed on the brake pedal I heard a tire chirp and then a good hard stop. Well right as it was just about stopped I noticed the "Brake" light come on in the dash on the right most gauge pod under the engine temp gauge. It would be on for like 3-4 seconds and then go out. No other lights on the dash. This is my wife's car so I don't drive it too often so I don't know if this is normal for an ABS stop.

Plus right as it was about stopped I could feel the pedal giving me a... what felt like a "grinding" sensation. Which I assume is the ABS kicking in.

Fill the fluid to the max line and see if that switches off the light.

That's the problem on my 07, I saw nothing that said "Max" I looked all over that thing too! So basically if you look at your cylinder it's almost up to the neck on the unit.

Picture I found on the internet. It's filled somewhere between these two red lines.

Later on on Monday night when I was going home, I tried the ABS stop again and the light did not come on this time. So not sure what that light was about.

I bled my brakes about a year ago and no problem with brake light or VSA light. But I just did a more thorough bleed this time, and the Brake light comes on immediately when I turn the key on.. then after a minute or so, the VSA comes on. I am hoping it just goes away on its own too. I know these VSA's are temperamental sometimes

I read another post where people were tossing out ideas, bad transmission, stuck caliper, low fluid, and something about brake pads and a bunch of other stuff..
So, I opened up my HDS and read the DTC's and at was the Low Fluid sensor in the reservoir. I don't know if I hit the sensor with my squirt bottle trigger, in which I used that to evac the old fluid first before I pumped new fluid throughout the system, - or - if the sensor just didnt like the new fluid. Either way, the HELM book says that sensor is a simple "continuity circuit". And I looked at the connector and it has only 2 wires... which is all that is needed for continuity.. So, Its just a dumb circuit. I reset the DTC with the HDS and the code came back immediately. So I tried tapping on the reservoir with a wrench to give it a shake.. But it didnt work! So, I did just like other people have done.. I disconnected the sensor and the light went out. fortunately, when the fluid is full, the continuity circuit is normally open.. It only creates a complete circuit when the fluid goes low and therefore gives you that warning light.. So disconnecting the cable does essentially the same thing as having a full reservoir.. So, we're good! We dont really need a brake level fluid sensor anyway.. And it doesnt do anything else.. So, no harm in leaving it disconnected.
