Brake light comes on but not often

I have a 98 3.2TL. In the last month, the brake warning light comes on for just a second when I am accelerating. It has happened 3 times. It only comes on for a second and I cannot intentionally replicate it. It is rare and random. The brakes feel fine and the emergency brake handle is down. It is not related to the engine being warm or cold b/c it has happened just after start up one time and after the car was at operating temps. Any ideas? Thanks!

I had similar problem in my 2.5 TL, even the brake fluid level was at Max, after I added little bit more fluid, it went away for now.

Take off the brake fluid cap (when looking at engine from front of car, it is to your upper-right next to the firewall/rear of engine compartment). The little bobber thing that hangs down from the cap is the sensor that tells you when your brake fluid is low. What happens is that this thing sometimes gets stuck to one side, causing the brake light to intermittently come on. Just jiggle it around and put the cap back on. This seems to happen when it's cold out, but I don't know why. It would happen to me constantly last winter but I haven't had any problems lately. Have fun.

If it comes on when you are accelerating, it is also sometimes because you need to change your rear brakes.
