Blown Fuse??

If my fuse is blown, do I have to buy them from the Acura dealer or can I just get them at a local auto store or even walmart? Will the aftermarket fuse do any harm to the car? How will I know which fuse to buy. The manual said that I need a 20A fuse for my front fog lights. (I have a 2004 Acura TL). Any suggestions would help. Thanks.

Just replace with the same size and type of fuse that came out in the first place. You can get them anywhere.

Yes, you should be able to get them at the auto store.

When I am changing the fuse, I have to take my keys out of the ignition correct?

So I have decided to replaced the fuse today and found out that the front foglight was still not working. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

Check the connector. See if it melted

You hooked up LED strips to the fog lights and you don't know how to change a fuse?

Once something has been modified, now who knows what went wrong... could be a short, a ground, improper wiring, a fuse, bulbs. anything..

did you do the work yourself? do the leds work? did they cut the wire that goes to the connector? is the bulb even plugs in??

I had the work done AckTL05. He spliced part of the OEM fog wire and connect the LEDs to it. So the HID fogs on the bottom is running through factory wire, but the LEDs is connected to the middle part of the wire from the OEM fog circuit. So when the fogs are turn on the LEDs turn on with it.

Take it back to them. You've really got two threads going for the same problem. Now knowing that you've modified both the fogs and added LEDs, and they worked for 6 months with no issues, it's going to be near impossible to diagnose from afar. Further puzzling is that the fogs/LEDs and low beam are on separate circuits.

You need to go back to your installer and have him take a look at it.

you drove from MA to NJ for leds and lower fogs??

PM ACK05TL, hes good about responding to issues and since he did the work, he"ll have a better understanding of what might've gone wrong.

my suggestion, check all splices and cables..

Unsubscribed..

The only hard part is describing it to AckTL05 because its some sort of wiring issue. Also he is so far out, and I barely have any time to deal with this. I hope someone out there have a solution to this problem. Thank you.
