Battery & security system problems
Hello. I joined this site in hopes that someone can help me. About a month ago, I noticed that my car was not beeping when I pressed the lock button twice on my key which also arms the security system. It is still programed to beep but is not beeping and the flashing red light for the security system is no longer flashing red. A week later, I was leaving for work at 5 am and my car battery was dead. I had it jumped off and took it to walmart and got a new battery. The car started fine but still no beep & no security. Now, after having a new battery for 2 weeks, my car would not start again. We do not have an acura dealer where I live so I am taking it to honda. The guy that jumped me off today checked my battery and alternator and said my battery was dead but the alternator was fine. I have no clue if the no beep/no security system activation is related to my battery dying but thought maybe some of you could help? I know very little about cars as I am a female so go easy on me. lol. Thanks!

When you say, trying to lock the car it doesn't beep...does it actually lock/unlock with the remote?
This sounds like an Immobilizer problem...I know you might think if that's what it is, the car wont start, but that's not quiet true. Only the receiver can be affected.
I don't know if you've looked at fuses, but check out fuse#19 under-dash.
Also, is there anything else affected? And I mean anything, HVAC, radio, clock, any other controls or displays at all. Just look for anything that doest work.
Most components share circuits.
Let me know what you find

Assuming the guy knows how to test the alternator and battery (not just putting a volt meter on them) and the test is valid, it could be your HFL going bad.
When it goes bad it will constantly drain the battery after the key is shut off. Ask them to do a simple current draw test at least 30 minutes after you shut the car down.
