battery change but still blinking

Hello guys! I bought my 06 base around 1 years ago with 124k, the problem is that yesterday i was parking my car with a friend and we where listening music and the AC was on, not moving the car at all.
After a 3 hours i get realized that the battery icon was blink (only once), and the sound of the car goes off constantly and ccame back and the car seems like starting but never turn off.
Then i turn off the ignition , and try to start again... you know what happen, the car won´t start so i bought a new battery and installed.

The problem was solved the only thing i see is that the battery light is still there, so i dont know what can i do or is still the problem somewhere else??

Thanks for your help guys. nice day!

Take a multimeter and check the battery voltage when off @12.5, then check with engine running @ 14.
It's a start.

I did what you told me to do, and I think it's the alternator, b cause it was on 12.9V , then I start the car and I checked the battery again and drops to 11.00.

Just remember that the TL utilizes a ELD Electrical Load Detector in that the charging of the battery is curtailed when certain parameters are met, but with only 11 volts showing, the alternator should have been charging the battery when it was checked.

Curious, how much is the mech charging you?
I just replaced mine a few months ago for $125 parts.

OP, have you checked the condition of the + battery cable? At this age, it might be corroded internally where you can't see.
