Battery

Hello. I have a 2005 acura TL 3.2. I have a battery of 530 amps. But my car has starter issues. The battery keeps dying within 24 hours. I took it to a car electrician and he told me that the problem was the battery (bare in mind i bought it brand new and the battery that is and i still got the same problem ). He said the batterys amp power was too low. He asked me to get a 900 amps battery for my car. He said the consumption of the car that he tested was all the normal consumption. So anyone here has ever had any similar problems or recomends the 900 amps battery?

Thanks for the reply. Just curious does the HFL have a fuse in the fuse box? If so could it be posible its not that since the car electrician checked them and said their all consuming as they should.

P.s. i will do hfl regardless just to be sure.

The HFL shares a fuse with some lights, IIRC.
That's why it's much better to disconnect the HFL rather than pulling the fuse.

The HFL was designed to continue operating for 30 minutes after the car is turned off. There was a Technical Service Bulletin for bad HFL units which would stay powered on more than 30 minutes after the car had been turned off.
The draw from the electrical system should drop drastically after the HFL shuts down.

The OEM battery was about 450 cold cranking amps, so it really doesn't matter how many amps-- 530 CCA, 650 CCA, 750 CCA-- a new battery puts out.

Welcome to AZ.
