auto off headlights dont work?

hi i have my keyless memory setting to turn my headlights off automatically after 15 seconds, but my headlights always turn off instantly after i shut my engine off. does anyone know how to make them stay on for 15 seconds after i close the driver door? any help would be appreciated

also one more question, when i put it in reverse only the driver side mirror tilts down and the passenger side stays the same. is that normal?

thankss

Not sure of the first question. Mine works perfectly, never had a problem with it.

but there is a little switch on the left next to the door handle. Where you can adjust to mirrors and turn on the heated mirrors.
There is a switch labeled (L, Off, R). Choose L or R for whichever one you want to tilt down in reverse.
and it's normal for just one side to tilt down.

for that to work the headlights need to stay in the ON position and not auto as far as I know.

First, both the passenger and driver side mirrors should tilt.

Second, are you sure your headlights are on to begin with? I mean if you turn off your headlights manually, it won't come on. It will only stay on for however long you set the settings too when you leave it on.

Not sure about the lights, make sure they are in the auto, or on position.

Only ONE mirror will tilt down at a time, depends on which one you select.

If its in AUTO it will turn off instantly. It needs to be in ON position. One question though, if its in the ON position and you turn off key and open door, does it give that bell sound for you guys? Kinda pointless coz it will automatically turn off anyway.
