Another weird VSA then /!\ problem

i read through the threads about this already. might be bad tpms, bad app, gas cap, need change oil, etc etc..

here is my version:
08 base ~15000 miles
it was cold tonight (~30). let the car ran for a few minutes. the tire monitor came up (left rear 27 psi, other three 37). ok fine i have had same problem in the past and no biggie just add air. drove a few miles at ~40 mph then i see RAPID flashes of VSA FOLLOWED by decreased responsiveness of car THEN the /!\ on right. powerless x 5 seconds and power back (good acceleration). VSA is normal now but /!\ still on

i pulled over. turn off the car. wait. restart. low air and /!\ still there. VSA fine... drives fine...

i'll add air and change the oil first thing in the morning. then disconnect battery after. then call dealer if no good ...

my initial thought is a bad tpms sensor triggered the /!\

welcome all input and tia

37 psi in 30 degree weather? What's your max psi rating on your tires? btw.. 27 psi is fine. It sounds like a traction issue more than anything.. was there any snow / ice?

i have been keeping all tires at 36/37 for all my cars regardless of weather. the max on my tire is around 43 i think

could be traction but does that kill the power? i was powerless x 5 seconds. tach dropped like mother ! what i'm thinking is that this car is just way too sensitive ! (me like)

just drop ~60 miles to work, everything fine so far but my 5000 oil change interval is up anyways. i ll change oil tomorrow morning....

I thought you meant you turned the car off for 5 secs. Well the VSA controls throttle so it very well could have shunted your throttle control until it felt traction gained. I bet if the roads were nice it could have been a wheel sensor acting up / iced up. It's not your oil but staying up on oci is important. I would check the wheel speed sensors & keep the tires inflated to 75% of the max psi rating in the winter, 80% of their max rating in the summer. You can find the max rating on the tire sidewall.
