Airbag MIL/warning light... SOMETIMES
Ok, the Autel OBDII has more capability reading sensors, than there were sensors back in 2004 when this TL was made. So baffled a bit.
The airbag warning light (drivers instrument panel) sticks on after the warning light test on startup is done and all the other lights fade out.... SOMETIMES, very rarely.
The OBDII device doesnt pick it up as an issue or MIL or anything... so, how can that be?
And of course it doesnt stay stuck for the next couple dozen start ups, so very hit/miss/erratic/irregular...
Anyone have experience with this wierdness, and should I not gafk?

no MIL indicators on Autel
Its an Autel 417. Doesnt show a dedicated ABS scan but it DOES do guage cluster and a list of many MIL indications it can detect, and reset. The ABS MIL on the dash only shows up in the startup sequence and goies out, so trusting the car the ABS is fine, and actual physical test it does what ABS is supposed to do.
well tried it and didnt make the difference... SOMEtimes... would be belt, park brake acronym icon and the bag.
Belt off when I belt up, brake icon off when i release it, SOMEtimes the bag light stays on... in that order.
Im thinking about a newer model Amish 2hp buggy now... (sarc)

Every time I had an SRS light on my RSX, it was a sign that the battery was about to die within a month. Startup voltage was insuffficient for the SRS computer to start up properly.
How old is your battery? If over 4 years is will probably die soon anyways to might be easier to just replace it to rule out voltage issues.

no clue sorry
There is nothing that I can think of that was done before/after that could relate to this sudden light appearance. Deer accident, new battery install, all sorts of major things not related were before this light came on.
I had forgotten about this issue too... shows how long its been since it cropped up again.
Only slightly bothersome reoccurring issue now is the O2 sensor... SOMEtimes... cleared it with OB2 after playing with the wiring/harness/contact spray cleaned anything reached for THAT problem, and that problem went away back then. Dont think its at all possible that taking off the harness connector for that bank (2 sensor 1 I think... the one RIGHT BESIDE the rad and so easy to reach), would have anything to do with it. Did that harness clean/reconnect only months ago, airbag dash light has been so long before that, dont recall when
battery was either 2 or 3 yrs old at the time I posted this airbag issue, still have the same battery working fine ... issue didnt come back now for so long forgot when it 'stopped'
Suppose I should find a way to test the airbag bulb, maybe force a trigger with a fuse pull or harness disconnect, just to make sure the bulb still works... not that it makes sense it would lite up if 'failing'
