My 2005 TL airbag light comes on. What could be causing this? Would a fix to this be covered under lifetime warranty?

Is there a noticeable particular trend or series of events that occurs to help explain when the light triggers?
An ABS code may be present, as a result of the light; therefore, have it scanned. It, the code, may help isolate the issue.

 

Would a ODB scanner detect the code or I need something else?
