What year is your TL?? If applicable this should be covered under warranty

Does it show up on the MID, or is it the SRS light?

You could get it read at AutoZone to pull up the code... but if you still have your warranty, then just take it to the dealer and tell 'em to check it out.

04 TL..... i think its the one on the mid, its right by the 0 mph area... i did try autozone, but their cpu only reads engine problems suposedly.... went 2 the dealer and service manager wants to charge for a full diagnostic, and on top of that i'd have to leave the car with them for gods knows how long.......

did you remove the seat or anything lately?

i went in to get my passenger seat rattle fixed. they had to remove the seat and replace some controller cable which was under it. when i got the car back, i had the same airbag light turned on.

when i went back, they realized that when they did the system initialization something (when putting that cable back in), that they needed someone sitting in that seat while the system did its thing. long story short, if you messed with that cable, you'll have to do this...

but i agree with the others... that should definitely be covered under warranty. what if its a faulty airbag?!!

I removed my rear seats 6 times and I never had any airbag sign coming on. I think one of the airbag senors is defective and triggering the alert.
