Brake Lights not illuminating

Hello All,

So it has come to my attention that my brake lights are not illuminating. The top mount third brake light works, but not the two taillight brake lights. My question for you guys is, before I pull it apart and try bulb replacement, is this a common thing? Is it possibly a switch or fuse somewhere? I just think it's a bit unlikely for both bulbs to burn out simultaneously. Also, when I replaced the bulb on my girlfriend's car, it turned out the brake light and tail light were one in the same, one bulb with two filaments, is this the case with our cars?

Replace those bulbs. I had all three burn out at the same time. It happens there is a fuse but since your 3rd brake light is working, your fuse is not blown.

Thanks for the response. That is exactly what it was. I feel silly for not just changing them to begin with.
