Going to buy clutch/flywheel from rockauto. Was wondering what else i should replace with the clutch. I saw that it is recommended to replace the rear main seal. Could somebody link me to the actual part (preferably on rockauto) or if its even necessary?

Suzuka Master
Pilot bearing if not included
Flywheel-depending on condition
Look under engine-crankshaft seal
Make certain there's no leaks, master, slave, or hose

i think the clutch kit comes with pilot bearing and i plan on getting the flywheel as well since its only $170. My slave cylinder (with cvd) and master cylinder are under a year old and i havent seen any leaks as the clutch fluid reservoir is always full
My clutch doesn’t slip, i just have the symptom where the clutch pedal goes like 1” off the floor after wot or if i rev it while pressing the clutch. (if i rev it in neutral, this doesn’t happen.) It returns to normal after a couple pumps. But then again, normal is like only 3” of play on the clutch pedal. Whereas every other car i’ve driven has like 4” of play.
I read somewhere here that it’s from a bad pressure plate, so i figure i might as well change both the clutch and flywheel since they both might be the originals

YES, there is an OEM rear main crankshaft oil seal, NOT inexpensive, and only takes a few minutes to install, while the transmission is out.. Change it, weather it's leaking or not! Please verify with your local Acura Dealer, but, I believe the part number is: ( 11300-RCA-A00 ) Delray Acura OEM parts has it for $41.18, plus shipping. Amazon has it for $47.35, with free shipping. You may want to check with RockAuto, they should carry it as well, and may discount it because your buying the clutch there.Originally Posted by Bars
Also, is there an oem rear main seal?

Thanks, I will change the rear main seal out as well. But on delray oem acura parts, the seal is $15.10 (91214-RKG-003). On rockauto it’s like $7, but they don’t have oem so I’ll get it from delray.Originally Posted by frankjnjr
