Abs sensor doesn't fit

Replaced the wheel bearing about 2 years ago. Speed sensor was rustedbin and i broke it coming out. Got a new speed sensor but it doesn't go in all yhe way. It bottoms out about 3/16 from the bolt flange surface being all the way down. Seems inside the hole is reaching the bearing. First abs sensor i shaved the end and it worked but hated having the gap and went a little further and it stopped working. Next one tried again and shaved off less but it didn't work. Then tried just shimming it....im on my 5th one and just cant fix the issue and can't figure out why its not working. Bearing is all the way in. Pretty sure the 3g all came with abs. It was a rock auto part so who knows. Ive since learned not to buy from rock auto lol. Any ideas. We have 4 ft of snow and the tl did great but sucks without traction control.

There may be something inside the hole at the bottom, also I don't remember if those have snap rings behind the bearing or not, if it does, make sure the opening in the snap ring is where the ABS sensor sits, on some cars if the snap ring opening isn't in the same spot as the ABS sensor it will touch it and not seat correctly.

Its free and clear all the way. I micd it. Also no snap ring in sight. The bearing spans the hole it looks like and theres a 1/4 wide groove in the bearing the sensor sits in
