ABS Sensor keeps on Failing!! NO VSA nor ABS!

Hey guys so about 6 months ago my VSA would go crazy and turn on and off when not necessary then displaying the VSA ABS ! lights on the dash.

Got the code scanned bad front left wheel speed sensor, replaced it with a quality variant Doorman wheel speed sensor and problem solved.

4 months later my VSA is acting up again, whenever I turn right the lights ( VSA ABS !)go off and stay on until the car is restarted. The lights only go off as soon as I make a complete right turn as in the steering wheel hits the maximum rotation then I lose complete function of the ABS VSA until its restarted. I also noticed that putting it in reverse triggers the VSA to go off for no reason on dry surfaces. Basically if I was to drive 10 000 miles by only going straight or left I would have no problems with the function of the VSA and ABS systems. As soon as a full right turn is made then I lose complete functions of that system. The system still self checks upon start up until a right turn is made.

I get the code scanned again, says "ABS Sensor (speed sensor) failure front left, open or short" ok, so I go down to the local parts store get another abs wheel speed sensor pop it in and NO LIGHTS!!! I can finally turn right!!!. 3 weeks later I'm having the EXACT same problem and the exact same code as the previous 2.

What the hell should I look into now?? Wires look fine no damage tears or rips from the abs sensor to the engine bay!

I forgot how not fun it is to drive in winter with no ABS, especially how bad the TL fishtails over the slightest slipping on the road when braking.

did you try a different brand of sensor?

are you as low as your avatar shows?- could be pulling on a wire when turning

What about the gap between the sensor & ring- is that critical?

like if the sensor wasnt all the way down and locked?
yes that would be a problem, and something a lowered car might experience- pulling on the wire..

good call total'd!!

also ck for debris-oil-crud in the ring cutouts/teeth..thats how the sensor counts wheel revolutions
