3rd blower motor and resisitor - fan intermittent

So, the actual problem is that the connector that plugs in to the motor keeps working loose. Push it back in an the blower works fine. Drive around, fan becomes intermittent. Push connector back in, starts working again.

I've been going through this issue for years, since I replaced the first blower motor on my 06 base TL

My question is this... When I replaced the first blower motor, I seem to remember that there was a clip that goes over the plug and it would seem that it's purpose is to keep the motor plug from coming out. I may be imagining this, but maybe not. The clip never got replaced because I it was so tight I couldn't get it to clip back on to the motor housing.

Is there actually a clip that keeps the plug from coming out? If so, anybody know a part number or where I could get one?

If the clip is broken the connector will never stay in place. A junkyard may have one

I'm not sure what it looks like, but couldn't you just use a ziptie to hold it together?

Nothing is broken. The clip is a separate piece. I need a new clip. Was wondering if anybody knew where to get one.

Or some light/medium strength epoxy.

OP has been dealing with this for years...
