2008 TL Whining Sound when turning

I've got a 2008 TL with 36,000 miles. After driving for an hour or two, when turning the wheel left or right you can hear distinct whining sound. Almost sounds like an electric motor.

I've taken my car to my dealer and they were not able to find the problem. I just went on a three hour trip and it happened again. Then today after returning, the sound never appeared again.

I drive the car each day on a 30 minute commute to and from work and never here this sound. Does anyone have an idea what might be wrong? I'm thinking possibly something to do wiht the power stearing.

I think I know what you're talking about; but is it LOUD, as in noticeable when you're in the cabin with the windows up, or is it something you hear when you're outside of the car; listening really, really hard?

Now that I think about it, both times it has been around 65 degrees or below. It has been dry on both the days it has happened.

Update....

After doing my own inspection, I found out the power stearing fluid was LOW. I've been taking my car to the local West Houston area Acura dealer. They have NOT been checking the fluid levels in my car!! I guess I will go back to maintaining my own car. You just can't trust them!!
