So I have a 2008 TL-S and when I turn the key in the ignition just one click. (So not turning it over but just turning on all the electronics) I get this weird clicking/grinding noise. It happens after about 3 seconds and only for a second or two and only seems to happen when the car is cold and hasn't been started for a day or so. The car isn't throwing any codes and there is no irregular lights on the dash. Does anyone have any insight into what the issue might be and how imideatly I need to get this fixed.

 

Check the terminals on your battery cables; I bet your positive is a tad loose

 

Try turning it to the on position with your A/C fans off too and see if that makes a difference. Possibly a worn blower motor/fan

 

I gave it both terminals a strong wiggle and they seem tight.
