2006 Acura TL Transmission Problem

What’s up y’all, I have a problem with my 2006 Acura TL. When I first start my car up, the sport shift mode is working and all is well, also when I push the throttle all the way down it takes off and downshifts. However after a couple minutes of driving, if i was to switch it into sport shift, it stops working such as the gear number indicator doesn’t pop up, and if i push the throttle all the way down it doesn’t downshift and instead it slowly picks up RPMs. I already replaced the 3rd and 4th gear pressure switches what else could it be? Thanks.

The transmission position sensor could be a potential culprit for your problem. Mine started going slowly at first and only after driving for a while, but it got to the point that I basically couldn't get my car above 3500rpm without it upshifting and refusing to downshift into high RPMs at any point. It was a bit of a pain to get to it on my Type-S, but this should be exactly the same for you! Hopefully someone with more experience than I will be able to chime in and help!
