2002 Acura TL Type S transmission problem or engine problem

I bought this car about 3 months ago & a couple days after I had it; it dropped a cyclinder. So i had a used engine put in that had 44,000miles on it. Car has 145,000miles on it. When I was leaving work today, the car was driving smooth as butter & then it is like the engine just died. The rpm went down to zero. It did this a couple of times & then the VSA light came on, the check engine light came on, and the exclamation light came on. Then the trasmission wasn't shifting properly. it would stay in one gear too long before it would shift. And then i tried it in sport shift and it shifted real hard up or down. I pulled off the side of the road and cut the car off & let it sit for about 3 minutes. I started it back up then the VSA light was off, & exclamation light was off, but the check engine light was still on. I was a block from home & the trasmission was shifting fine like nothing ever happened. I undid the battery cables & let if sit, & hooked them back up & check engine light is off. Everything is running smooth now. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!
