2005 TL Vibration

I am experiencing vibration when going 50-65 in my TL. I have been researching all over the internet and i found that if you get a Dynamic Damper and have that installed then it will make it a little better but wont completely eliminate the vibration. Does anyone know where i can get the Dynamic Damper kit at for a 05 TL

Do you feel the vibration in the steering wheel or in the floor board? Vibrations at speed usually comes from wheel balance.

Find one of these:
http://www.gsp9700.com/search/findgsp9700.cfm

No matter where you take the wheels for balancing, after they are balanced according to the machine, release hub screw, turn the tire 180 degrees and rebalance. If the equipment is calibrated correctly the assembly should still be in balance with no additional weights needed, but at times, the center bore becomes compromised and a lug bolt adapter is needed, or the balncer is out of calibration.
Check also for a bent wheel, but the operator should be checking this when spinning the assembly.

Alignment will not cause this condition and not everyone said to get an alignment.

Sorry, but it's like beating a dead horse!

to answer your original question, dynamic dampeners are an OEM part. It will only work if you have aftermarket axles. OEM axles come with it installed. Acuraoemparts.com has them listed.

You can install them on aftermarket axles but they will have to be disassembled. This could void warranty if any, and are not necessarily required. GSP axles from Advance Auto are balanced, since I have no vibrations at all (OEM driver side, aftermarket passenger side).

It could be caused by tire wear..try rotating your tires and see if it's any different?

huffdaddy when did you purchase the car.

i have a 2004 TL . i bought it in 2007. there was a vibration under the floorboard when the car hit 60 mph. i went to the dealer and showed up a TSB i had found on here. they put in a dampener . car was still under warranty back then so it didnt' cost me anything.
ever since then, it was not an issue for me

Car drives a lot more smoother but steering wheel shakes even worse. Might get an alignment again and see what happens

I've got a similar issue with my '05...vibration at 50-65. I figured it was a combination of bent rims and poor balancing (rims were bent when bought the car and have had 4 new tires balanced in last year...all at sears). When the weather is below 50F, the vibration causes a noise near the driver side door...i'm guessing this is because the components are less ductile at lower temps). I figured road force balancing was worth a try as I don't really want to buy 4 new wheels.

I've been going through this same issue for about a year now. I have a 2006 TL AT. My steering wheel shakes at 65+ mph. I started with an alignment, balancing, and rotating tires. Discount tire insists that my wheels are not bent and perfectly balanced. I then replaced all 6 motor/transmission mounts. I then replaced my midshaft as the bearing was blown and had some play in it. I then replaced my lower compliance bushings as they were torn up. I also did a brake job(all brand new rotors and pads). MY VIBRATION IS STILL HERE! I'm out about $1200 chasing this issue down with no results. I'm going to replace both OEM axles and if that doesn't fix my problem it's trade in time.
