2005 Manual Transmission TL - Problems with engine mounts

Hey, so i put all new engine and transmission mounts all around my tl from rock auto, I did the front and the sides and 1moth later did the rear and the one thats on the bottom of the transmission, they vibration never stop, it only got better, vacuum lines and everything it’s connected the right way, i change the front 2 times and the top of the transmission one 2 times to see if they mounts were defective or something but it get better for like 2 days and than came back, i need help they said that the solution is putting solid mounts but this is my daily, i cant do that, cant drive with that vibration everywhere i go,i call the dealer asking for prices on the front and rear to see if puting oem will fix it, but for both its almost 600$, you guys know a good aftermarket brand or something?

When I researched mounts for my 2006 6MT I spent a few weeks deliberating on the aftermarket vs. OEM argument; I figured the extra $400 or so in parts was worth it and bought all six mounts from one of the online Acura parts dealers. I can attest to how vibration free the OEM mounts render your car.

yeah, there's gotta be some minute differences with the aftermarket mounts...
if you dont enjoy your free massage seats, your best bet would be to install OEM's

That's odd....
why would one complain about vibrations with oem like mounts but then would want to go to a mount that is known to cause vibrations?

I have the 75a durameter mounts! But then again my car is set up as a race car and I don't care if the car vibrates

I got the 60A reds and the vibrations are nonexistent with the a/c off. Slight low frequency vibration at red light and gone with throttle.

At this point INNOVATIVE is cheaper than factory. And will not vibrate you to death 💀

Which one is the best aftermarket brand for the acura tl engine mounts?? Im buying DEA / MARMON RIDE CONTROL for the front and the rear changing both at the same time to see if it makes a difference, if not I’ll just go with the solid mounts, what do yo guys think??

I debated long and hard and opted to spend the extra coin for the OEM mounts.

@armando

I have all three engine side mounts from innovative. Tranny side I have oem. It vibrates slightly with a/c on at idle otherwise nonexistent. Our 6m is usually in N at the red light so the drivetrain isn’t preloaded eliminating the (hasport into crx ) vibrations.

Also: I installed these one at a time due to budget . Installing just one at a time WILL make any adjacent mounts die quickly.

Engine mounts problems Manual Acura tl 2005 HELP

I put aftermarket engine and transmission mounts on my car from rock auto and because of budget i did it in 3 different times;

1.- Front, side and upper transmission
One month later..
2.- lower transmission
car feeling way better, but still with a little vibration at idle (like it was knocking, Obviously it was not)
weeks later i did the rear, and the “knocking “ disappear but now it was some weird little knock when starting, i check and came up with a conclusion that it was the upper transmission so I changed it again, now the car was “good”, probably 1 week later the horrible vibration came back (so bad that you can feel the whole engine and transmission on the gas pedal) came up with the conclusion that it was the front mount got a new one on, and the car felt good for about 5 minutes, i went to test drive the car and the vibration was probably better than before but still there, did 2 pulls on the car from second gear and literally the car was feeling like before, vibration so bad that you can’t even drive the car, i dont remember the aftermarket brands that i got from rock auto, i need help, this is my daily and i feel like if i put solid mounts its gonna be a crazy vibration, i don’t have money to spend the extra hundreds dollars for OEM, what should i do? Do all of them back again but at the same time? Get 65a solid innovative mounts? Just do front and rear with the best brand from rock auto? Help🙏🏻

This is what I was thinking? Maybe your engine torque damper is blown. Otherwise if its engine mount related replacing everything with OEM is pretty much your only option.

I put all OEM mounts and an XLR8 engine torque damper in my car after replacing the clutch. Definitely helped cut down on the engine moving and clutch chatter.
