2004 AT tranny blown - possible used replacements

Looking for used AT for my high mileage TL. I'm looking to get maybe two years out of it, 50k miles. I've seen on other posts odessey or accord 2006/7 have less problems.

Anyone know what other Honda transmissions can go into my 2004 Acura tl?
Models and what years?

Also, what kind of mileage on the used AT do you think will get me there? I see a lot of high mileage Tranny's out there.

Thanks !

2004 -2006. rebuild the one you have, I would never trust a used one for this car.

If you buy a used one, wouldn't you think you will have the same problems? Rebuild the one you have!

In an ideal world, I would. My car has 267k miles on it. Does it make sense to out $3k into it? That's what I'm struggling with.

Should be able to get a rebuilt installed for 2K not 3. If the rest of the car is in good shape i would do it! After all what kind of replacement car can you get for a couple grand?

Agree with you. Haven't found anyone to rebuild it for 2k. Everyone seems to be around 3k or more. Any Tips?

Sometimes you get what you pay for. just don't go to the dealer. Those lunatics quoted me $6,500.
