Good morning, hope you guys had a good sleep. I would like to share my problems with my car. So, I just bought a 07 TL base model from my friend. It has almost 290k KM on it. Well, unfortunately it came with transmission issues when I bought. Paid CAD 3500 for the car. Has some rusts on both rear fender and trunk. About the transmission, I have check engine light on with P0747 code. It also have rough upshift from 2nd gear to 3rd. When I drive the car in manual mode, it refuses to upshift to 5th gear. I have no idea what kind of ATF my friend put in the transmission, but the colour is kind of red brownish. I'm not sure if the transmission is already failed or still saveble. Would like to know what you guys will do to fix this or to prevent the transmission from failing. Thank you.
