2007 TL Transmission Issue
2007 TL Transmission Issue
Hey guys! I have an 07 TL with 110k miles, auto transmission. I've been having an issue for a while where somewhere around 40-50mph when the transmission gets into third gear it sort of makes a groaning noise and the car moves pretty slow up until it switches gear again. Doesn't matter if I give the pedal more pressure it won't move much faster and that noise also goes away once it hops out of that gear. I also feel it in the pedal that the car kinda doesn't wanna give me any more power and it feels as if it is grinding in a way, not really sure how to describe it. Similarly, when slowing down the car aggressively drops gears from 3rd to 2nd jolting down and dropping speed. I know the TL trannys are notorious for giving issues but I'm not sure why it's happening so early.
Side note: Everything is stock and I don't drive like a Nascar driver. Its maintained well but I'm not sure what this issue is.
Any help would be great, thanks!

I would suggest changing transmission fluid and checking out this thread - https://acurazine.com/forums/third-g...2006-a-729149/
It is about the auto transmission pressure switches for 3rd and 4th gear and many people have seen great shifting improvement by replacing both of these switches with Genuine Honda Parts.
