'07 TL has problem starting car, but does start

Hey all! So this morning heading out to work the car started fine, there was no problem. However, after dropping off my sister, I had problem adjusting seats via the seat settings but it wouldn't move so decided to turn off the car. Tried starting it again and had trouble starting it in one go. I had to hold the keys for a few seconds and it would click?/rev a bit, the speedometer area would light up but flicker during the clicks/rev and eventually start. Any one know if this is a starter motor problem or battery?

I looked around on the forum, and have read people who had their TL running fine the night before and wouldn't start the next day. The only difference is that my car does start but takes a few seconds.

Thanks in advance!

You may have already done this, but, check to make sure batt terminals are tight/no corrosion.?

sounds like battery.

agreed with slpr04ua6, check battery terminals for tight connections and clean off any corrosion if any

Yup - certainly sounds like the battery. Check, clean and if necessary - replace

Yea so far that sounds like the consensus, will definitely check when I get the time. Thanks!

check starting system

experienced same symtoms
sooner or later you start to see the error message and ignition time will get longer and longer like more than 10 s
Suddenly one day it does not start at all even after tens of tries
For me, ending up replacing the start motor...
Now I might replace some relays...T.T
