Just got the A/C repaired in my 05 TL, which required a battery disconnect (so I'm told). Now, the touchscreen is asking for a 4 digit pin code so that I can utilize it again. I understand that it's a standard thing that happens whenever the battery is disconnected for an extended period of time. However, I no longer have my user's manual (long story short, my brother's ex-wife had my car for awhile, and threw it out), and so no longer have the pin #. Is there a standard pin # that they use, that I can try, or do I have to take my car back into the shop for another whole day so that they can figure it out (which is what I was told I have to do). Any help greatly appreciated!

 

the only way to get the pin number is to go to the dealer. each pin number is unique to the serila number of the radio. sorry bro it's a dealer trip.

 

if you know the dealer well enough they can do it over the phone. the have access to a data base by serial number of the car. I had my done it took a whole 5 minutes.

They store your navi and radio codes in you account in case you lose them.

 

Check the glove compartment door for stickers with the navi and radio PINs---thats where I found mine!

i dont have a nav but i know for the radio code they put my pin inside the fuse box cover thats under the hood
