My roommate bought an 04 TL 3 months ago with 185k on the clock, 6MT. Ran and drove perfect for 2 months until he got an SES light. He was far from home and went to an Autozone to have the codes cleared, the car still ran perfectly normally.

Fast forward to a few days ago and the SES light came back with the car shuddering under acceleration. I drove it and from idle to about 2-2500rpm the whole car would shake regardless of how much throttle you gave it, it felt like a miss to me and like it was lacking torque while it was doing this. Idles fine, doesn't stall or do anything else strange. Runs great once you get past 2500. These are the codes its showing:

p2138
p2195
p2628
p0135
p0155
p0171

Basically all O2 sensor/ lean running related with the exception of the throttle position sensor, any ideas? Attached of the diagnostic report.

One more question.. We have tried 3 different bluetooth units on this car to check/ clear codes and none will work, only Azone and the shops. I have never had any issue connecting to any other car before, any potential culprits? Thanks for any suggestions guys.

try changing out the app sensor. Its the black box on passenger side connected to the strut bar. Pretty easy to change out. I bought a used one from junkyard for 20 bucks.

 

lmk how you make out. Should work tho. Had it happen To 2 tls ive owned before.
